DRAFT Minutes for the Annual Parish Meeting held on
Thursday 8 May 2025 at Great Carlton Village Hall
Chairman: Cllr P Hill
Parish Clerk: Mrs S Bristow
Twelve Parishioners were in attendance. The meeting was opened at 6:38pm.
The LCC Highways officer was unable to attend, we will try to rearrange this at a later date.
The Safer Together contact was also unavailable but has sent a number of anti-fraud packets for distribution in the villages. The Chairman will bring them into the Social Club on Friday so that more people can take them.
The Clerk gave an update on the financial situation and the AGAR for 2024-25, which is in progress.
The floor was opened to parishioners to discuss any village concerns they may have. Speeding was the biggest issue, with particular concern about near misses on certain bends. Question about a more proactive approach were raised, such as more passive signage or a Community Speed Watch programme being started. Complaints were raised about the school coaches speeding through the village as well. The Clerk will contact the new LCC Councillor accordingly.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:12pm.
