DRAFT Minutes of the Wind Turbine Community Fund Management meeting held on Thursday 13 August 2026 in the Village Hall, opened at 19:00
Present: Cllrs P Hill, A Seigneury, P Bennett, and K Kade, Mrs B Hanvy, Mrs C Lazell (co-opted in item 4a)
Clerk: Mrs S Bristow
1. Election of a Chair: Cllr P Hill was re-elected as Chair
2. Election of a Vice Chair: Mrs B Hanvy was re-elected as Vice Chair
3. Apologies: Received from Mrs J Pike and Mrs H Locking
4. Committee membership update: Mrs C Lazell was co-opted onto the Committee (item moved to earlier on the agenda at the Chair’s discretion).
5. Finance report: The Clerk reported balances as of 13 Aug 26 as follows
a. Bank Balances:
i. Community Account £10898.37
ii. Instant Access Savings £22742.77
iii. 32 Day Notice Account £18484.35
b. To appoint an external auditor for the 2025-26 Financial Year: Duncan & Toplis were reappointed. Further consideration on the use of an external auditor will be made at the February 2027 meeting.
c. To appoint an additional back signatory/signatories: Cllr Kade and Mrs Hanvy volunteered for this, which the Clerk will action in September.
6. Progress report on existing grants:
a. The Sir Edward Smith grant awarded in Feb 26 was paid in July and will be distributed beginning in September
b. Mr West’s £50 plants grant for the Little Carlton War Memorial was refused.
7. Grant applications: None
8. Date of next meeting: 11 February 2027 at 7pm.
