Action

1. Vicarage Road Woodland management – meeting at the end of the public footpath at the side of the road adjacent to The Old Vicarage, from 6.30pm to agree outline plans for the area.

All the committee had access to background on the area since works commenced in 2016-2017.

A way forward was agreed using a minimum of contractor involvement, and associated costs, supplement by volunteers led by Carole Lazell.

The £180 grant awarded on 13 August 2020 will be used as agreed with the committee and the specialist contractor.

Thanks to residents for offering to donate Maple, Chestnut and Willow.

Members of the parish who wish to know more should talk to any members of the committee who were present at the meeting. Volunteers, as it stands: Carole Lazell, Peter Hill, Tony Lazell, Carol Davies.

Carole Lazell to liaise with the specialist contractor.

John Hodge to appeal for further volunteers via a public email group, Facebook and the October Earburn.

2. Great Carlton War Memorial – onsite meeting to give Tony Lazell (grant applicant) the opportunity to update the committee on the consultation (20th August to 7th September 2020), get a feel of the project through a site meeting and make a decision about the grant application as originally discussed on 13th August via Zoom from home.

A summary of the consultation was provided by the applicant who also took part in a Q&A session and then left the meeting, to allow for dialogue between the committee. Sarah Howard had to leave part the way through the meeting.

There was support for the development which is to be capped at £5000. There was a vote amongst the five people who remained at the meeting. This was four to one in favour.
