Applications for grants All grant applications had been circulated to the committee prior to the meeting. 6.1 Parish Woodland - Vicarage Road Applicant: Carole Lazell Finance: score 10/15 Environmental impact: score 14/15 Viability: score 14/15 Benefit to the Carltons: score 40/55 Total score 78% Applicant notified at the meeting. 6.2 Supplementary Hedging for St Edith’s Applicant: Kate Berridge Finance: score 14/15 Environmental impact: score 14/15 Viability: score 14/15 Benefit to the Carltons: score 50/55 Total score 92% 6.3 Carlton’s History Project Applicant: John Smith Finance: score 15/15 Environmental impact: score 15/15 Viability: score 15/15 Benefit to the Carltons: score 55/55 Total score 100% 6.4 Great Carlton War Memorial Applicant: Tony Lazell An emerging grant. Tony Lazell was present, in his capacity as a member of the public and grant applicant, to make a presentation and answer questions from the committee. The committee accepted two quotes had been obtained and sufficient effort had gone into trying to secure a third. The committee accepted the preferred contractor. The committee agreed to support the grant in principle but require further actions before the grant can be scored and finally approved. |
6.1 Full requested grant awarded: £180 (environment). Longer term management of the woodland to be addressed through an outdoor, socially distanced, wind turbine committee site meeting on Thursday 10 September 2020 from 6.30pm.
6.2 Full requested grant awarded: £222 (environment). John Hodge to notify the applicant.
6.3 Full requested grant awarded: £300 (community). John Hodge to notify the applicant.
6.4 Tony Lazell to contact he contractor to pencil in dates for the ground works. Tony Lazell to provide consultative documents for Carltons residents. The documents are be placed in the social club and on village noticeboards for feedback. The committee will visit the site, for a socially distanced site meeting, at Great Carlton War Memorial on Thursday 10 September 2020. |
8. Next Meeting: Thursday 10 September 2020, 6.30pm A socially distanced outdoor site meeting for the committee, starting at Vicarage Road (end of public footpath by The Old Vicarage) and then moving to the Great Carlton War Memorial. |
