Wind Turbine Committee Notes 18 August 2022

1. Apologies – Kate Berridge
2. Chair`s annual report- included as pre reading material for committee
he WTC received the report as part of their prep for the meeting.
Action: Regina Stankevic to publish on the parish website.
3. Election of new Chair
Jane Conner proposed Angela Arden, Peter Hill seconded. All in favour
4. Committee membership
Helen Locking was welcomed to her first Wind Turbine Committee meeting.
5. Approve the final verification of accounts 1 April 2021-31 March 2022, through Duncan & Toplis Accountants
The WTC received the accounts as part of their prep for the meeting.
Decision: The WTC confirmed their acceptance of the accounts following the Parish Finance Committee recommendation.
Action: John to upload to website and arrange payment of the accountant’s invoice as his tenure as RFO comes to an end.
6. Current bank reconciled accounts
Current bank reconciled accounts were read out.
7. Application form, guidance, and screening form
Decision – all documents to be reviewed prior to the next meeting.
Action – Brenda and Angela to work together to produce initial revised documents for the approval of the committee.
8. Investment for future generations
Brenda reported on the Grimsby Community Energy information received from Kate.
Decision: WTC keen to find out more about this investment opportunity given the current UK financial situation.
Action: Clerk to invite a representative of the group to speak at the February meeting.
9. Progress report on existing grants
Solar panels grant for Village Hall – the panels have been erected and are paying dividends especially since energy prices are so high.
Village Hall fence – this was completed in time for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Platinum Jubilee grant – the £3000 was well spent and much appreciated by villagers despite the somewhat inclement weather.
10. Applications
WTC received only one application from Village Hall Trustees for £600 towards a survey of the Village Hall floor.
Decision: Unanimous vote for.
Action: Clerk to notify David Reetham Chair of VHT that the application was successful.
11. Date of next meeting
Next meeting will be held on 23 February 2023 at the Village Hall 7 pm
